On the 24 February, 2004 St John of God Foundation held a cocktail function on at Deakin University, Geelong to launch and celebrate the opening of their first Victorian Horizon House.

The program Patron Mr Frank Costa OAM, and MC Laurie Atlas officially launched the opening of the new house to a crowd of two hundred local. The evening was held in order to raise awareness of the program raise funds and strengthen the community support for these young people who would otherwise be without a home.

Special supporters on the evening included BAY Fm, Spotless Services and Deakin University; whose contribution made the successful function possible.
